Meet Krister Larsson, an Etix employee since January 2001. Born and raised in Malmo, Sweden, he came to the United States on a scholarship to play tennis at N. C. State University. As one of Etix’s earliest employees, he has been an integral part of our international expansion. Here are 10 questions with Director of International Ops, Krister Larsson.

At Etix, we’re dedicating the month of November to Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). Raising funds and spreading awareness about FA is a cause that is close to home for us. Some of you may know Alison, the beautiful, 15-year-old daughter of Matt Price, our Client Services Director. Alison loves her family and friends, spending time with babies, animals and her pets Muffin (her dog) and Midnight (her miniature horse). Two years ago, Alison was diagnosed with FA and it has been our mission to stand behind the Price family to support them as best we can in their fight against FA. This past Saturday, a group of us (along with a few significant others) volunteered at Carolina Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro, NC. We worked to move heavy items on the property for a few hours, then were led on an awesome guided tour through most of the incredible property. We saw tigers, lions, servals, mountain lions and ocelots, all up close in their enclosures. Some even came right up to the fence to say hello and were given treats of raw meat!
Service is one of our four core values here at Etix, and it’s a value that we share with our good friends at Habitat for Humanity. Bob Seaton, our Chief Technology Officer, may be our biggest cheerleader for our relationship with Habitat for Humanity. “At Etix, Service is the first of our core values. Volunteering with Habitat gives us the opportunity to exercise that value within the larger community. It’s gratifying to contribute–even if only for one day–to the creation of something that makes such a difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
Greg Briley was one of the first three employees at Etix, joining the team after a successful career at Ernst & Young. His background also includes time as Chief Financial Officer of a medical software company and a partner in a local Raleigh, NC, CPA Firm where he worked primarily with technology companies.
