Client Spotlight: Wagner Noël

Part of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center concluded a successful 2013 by hosting more than 200 events, nearly 40% of which were national touring shows. And the industry is taking note, as the trade publication Venues Today named Wagner Noël one of its top 5 venues with capacities under 5,000.

Wagner Noël isn’t succeeding just because it’s booking great acts like Les Misérables and Jerry Seinfeld, but also because the venue has been developing a strong reputation for great customer service.

While his team deserves much of the credit, general manager Ty Sutton also attributes this reputation to his decision to choose Etix, with whom Wagner Noël has partnered since it opened in 2011 with a sold-out Rod Stewart concert.

“The easier it is for our customers to purchase tickets and the less they notice ticketing, the happier they are. Our customers have been very happy with Etix.”

And Ty and his team at Wagner Noël have been very happy with their client service experience at Etix. In fact, Ty compares partnering with Etix to staying at a boutique hotel with great service and a friendly, familiar staff.

“We love having the option to call Etix and talk to someone we know when we have questions,” he says.

Of course, the partnership is about more than what Ty calls “excellent customer service.”

Etix provides a rock-solid, flexible and scalable ticketing solution. We have multiple shows going on-sale at the same time and the Etix system has worked flawlessly–it doesn’t matter if it’s a local ballet or a Broadway performance.”

And this partnership is continuing to grow. Wagner Noël has begun to collaborate with Rockhouse Partners, our digital marketing experts, to develop a new website to improve ticket sales, as well as communication with patrons.
